The mechanics of the mind.

All consuming mind,
Leave me be,
For just a day

Can you not kick in,
And shut down,
The system anyway?

Your safety procedures,
Are failing,
Waiting for overload.

The alarms have been,
Sounding endlessly,
I fear I will implode.

Critical meltdown,
Will occur,
At any moment now.

Previous attempts at
Patching up,
Don’t seem to work somehow.

The latest reaction,
Is just a fraction,
Of what has come before.

All consuming mind,
Leave me be,
And just let me restore.

    I so know the feeling!
    Very well expressed, cathartic even.

Sounds exactly like the day I had yesterday – but much nicer reading about it this way.
