So full of mystery & wonder

A captivation so strong & intense

It controls every fiber of my being.

Drawing me closer to a gateway

I know I shouldn’t open but,

I’m helpless to its power.

A feeling so wrong yet so satisfying

I succumb myself to its beauty.

As much as I need to say no,

I find myself continuously saying yes.

Its strength is unlike any other.

Tireless, never ceasing until,

It pulls me into its cesspool

Trapping my heart, mind, & soul

As reality sets in,

I find myself drowning in a sea of emotion I can no longer control.

And as I gasp for my final breath of sanity,

I discover, no one is to blame but me.
