Description of small, 1.5 foot long chinese dragon that sits on my study shelf.

A dragon sits upon my self

Its mouth agape as if breathing fire

Sharp teeth bared and red tongue panting

With back scales its body covered

Head to tail

Toes ending in twenty sharped claws

Body plates of armor

Flame tips along its spine

Flame too at its tails tip

Flame plates on its shoulders two

And on its hips two more still

Broad along the cheeks as well

I see two spiked horns upon its head

Two more, tendrils on its nose

Eyes red hot as burning coals

It has hunched its back like some great cat

But still I laugh at its fearsome stance

It growls in vane, this paper dragon

Only the family cat still gives it room to pass
