Today, I created a world for you.

Paper Gods

Today, I built a bar.

In front of it, roads were grey
and sidewalks were cracked,
Grass died off somewhere in the distance,
where its anatomy didn’t exist
Because I made them have no regard for the dead.

I birthed a grown man
that puked like an infant
in the front of my bar,
who had no respect for my sidewalks,
So I murdered him later down the road.

Today, I birthed a whore.

She wore black and red, devilish
colors about her, drunks
smothered about her, karma
hovered around her, as
she spread disease and took another one home.

I birthed an old man
that took the whore along
from the bar in his brand new car,
He drove eagerly and drunk and hit the man
with puke on his shirt…

Suppose I was being literal when I told you,
I murdered him later down the road.

Today, I created a world for you.
I built streets and birthed men.
I built bars and dying grass.
Today I killed a man.
Today, I played God.
