Poem about what happens to us when we die, and the hope we have of coming back in the resurrection to a paradise earth under gods kingdom rule….
Days and nights do quickly fly, soon we slowly sleep and die,
some will come and wonder why, others will simply weep and cry…
It dosen’t matter how one dies, its more important how many came,
to think about their own lives, knowing soon they’ll be the same…
In youth we run and spring about, later we smile just to get out,
of heights we no longer climb, nor hear the old clock chime…
In death we rest our sleeping heads, lying in our grave beds,
and with the ringing church bell, many come to bid farewell…
Death is but a peaceful sleep, the book of life our master keeps,
he will call in his due time, then from our slumber we shall climb…
Sin brought pain death and strife, through one man it came our way,
through another it will go away, then for ever its the breath of life…
Death removes all suffering and pain, when all will be forgiven again,
there’s going to be great jubilation, at the coming time of the resurrection…
A time of bliss for the righteous one, a time of judgement for some,
then the kingdom rule will come, peace and security for everyone…
All sickness and mourning will disappear, no more wars or living in fear,
man and beast will be as one, no firey torment from a blazing sun…
To greet loved ones from the past, awaken from their sleep at last,
oh what joys will abound, seeing their smiles and laughing sounds…
Oh death where is your sting, no more fears will you bring,
for we are awaiting a new birth, to live forever on a paradise earth…….end
