A poem about the effects of paranoia.

Waking up from nightmares

Waking up to creaks

Falling asleep to ugly thoughts

Falling asleep to cruel whispers

Looking over your shoulder

Walking briskly in the day

Peering outside your window

Tossing and turning at night

The restlessness follows you

At every time
