What a joyful day it is when you hear that you have become parent

Now you have some responsibility and will want capture every moment

There will be time of joys and times when you are put to the test

Be cautious think and no matter what give of your best.

Unlike all those equipment you get and procedures so conceivable

This job and its application never comes with any procedure manual

Let experience, wisdom, understand and listening be an application

Used throughout your tenure in the multifaceted profession.

Early in their lives appear and helpless and are dependent totally

But as time progress they will try to assert that individuality

Do not stifle that potential nor try to sway

Just ensure that is steered in the right way.

There will be times when confronted with a situation

Do not be strong headed and think that you have the only solution

Just listen and show some respect for their opinion

Let them know that there are rules and regulation

And if they break them there will some sort of punishment

Then sit with them and logically work on some terms of agreement.

There should always be some form of mutual respect

Never say oh this is something too adult for you to get

This will ensure that here is a mature and common ground

One that will put the relationship on such a solid ground.

Never try to be of you have a great fear

Let them always feel comfortable around you no matter where

Be that confidant be that parent that adviser

Someone whom they can talk anytime about any matter.

Teenage days and adolescence that will be your great tormentor

Now that adult in now coming out from where it was tether

These are them moment when your experience, tenacity and sagacity will be needed

Being confronted with their mood swings, and moment when they exploded.

Since you have passed that way before do not be that aggressive

But take time to understanding considerate and be more attentive

So that on thinking and reflection you have assess the situation

So you can steer them to another more calmer direction.

As always parenting is a very complex taxing adventure

But it is one worth taking even though nobody will never
