This is a real story of a very close friend of mine who thought she found her soulmate. I found it interesting to write about:)
I was so tired that Thursday afternoon
That I want to close my eyes for long
But I guess I opened them so soon
Cause the sun shined brightly all along
There was this man coming down the aisle of the bus
Looking for a comfortable seat
And I’m surprised to see him walking in a rush
And sat next to me that my heart leaped
Where on earth did he come from?
Seems like I’ve known him for a long time
My heart beats like a roll of the drum
It’s very unusual like it has never been mine
So I tried to sleep though I’m oddly awake
For I can’t look at him, for heaven’s sake!
And to avoid the sunlight from hitting my face
I need something to cover it just in case
But the curtains were so far from my reach
I looked like a fool trying to get which is which?
He helped me unexpectedly and asked
“Is it okay now?”, oh it happened so fast
When we sat back down we nearly bumped our heads
And my eyes were down when I said,
“Thanks” and I want to tell him more
But my mouth shut like a slammed door
My insides are trembling as if going to burst
We’ve never met; rather this is the first
The first time I knew that he’s my soul mate
Well I’m happy that it’s not too late
After a minute or so, he got to his feet
And off the bus he went
With an unseen smile and an unfelt heartbeat
I bade him goodbye with a message not sent
I am taken aback when I found myself
Looking sad in the real world I live in
The sudden happiness that I freshly felt
Now faded away without the sight of him
