A poem/song written in harder times.

She said just go if you want to,

And leave this all behind.

It doesn’t make any sense..What for?

I said I just have to, And I don’t expect you, to wait for my return.

This pain is just to deep to reach, without hurting everyone else around.

So I will do what I do best and and run aground this mess

So my legs won’t fail me this time.

As I run for the finish line

That never gets closer

It always just seems to move

To the horizon, with the wind

I stop to breath in, And lay my head to rest.

So everyone passes me by, and grows up and moves on

But inside me I’m still trapped  a boy

A boy  beaten so verbally

and spit on by nearly all who passed me by

And now my eyes aren’t giving me any sight.

As I run for the finish line

That never gets closer

It always just seems to move

To the horizon with the wind

I stop to breath in, And lay my head to rest.

I am the angry and the desperate

I am the lost and unconscious

I am the boy you see a man now

A man that lives by day, the boy that dyes as night goes by

I tear that same hole, that has swallowed me

So many times before.

A burning chest as a reminder, the tortured lives I’ve led astray

A broken dream I plant, Inside your head

While you lay silent with the memories of a smile faded..
