This, when in 2005, he addressed
Students at a convention
At Stanford University

Jobs said we’ve
To have passion
One day we’d grow old
And die
Giving way to the new

It was a cycle
He observed
That repeated itself
It was certain

As an icon
He was passionate
About his creative
Abilities
Looking into his mirror
He urged students
To do the same

Every day
He sought answers
To life’s many questions
And referred to death
As the ultimate
Creator

Jobs became a part
Of that creative force
When he died from a rare form
Of pancreatic cancer
That was first diagnosed
In 2003

He passed away
Peacefully
On Wednesday, October 5th, 2011
At the age of 56
Leaving his many fans
In mourning
While recognizing
That the baton
Has been passed
