About the great apostle Paul.

Have you heard about the man named Paul?
Who was obedient and indeed true to his call?
A man of great faith and an apostle was he,
For our dear Lord in him a faithful servant did see.
Saul a fervent Jew, didn’t live for our Lord,
At first, he spent his life persecuting our God.
Inspite of his vile behavior and ugly zeal,
The Lord chose him, before him to kneel.
He went on his way to Damascus, Christians to jail,
But instead God met him half way, his plan to fail.
On his way to Damascus, from heaven great light did he see,
And he heard our dear Lord say, “Why do thou persecute me?”
On hearing the great voice, he realized God it was,
That moment, struck by blindness, his life came to a pause.
He was obedient to the voice and did what it said,
He rushed to Ananias, who laid hands on his head.
Ananias revealed to Saul, the plans of our God,
He told him he would now be an instrument for the Lord.
That day, with sight, was born a new man in Saul,
Now to the new world, better know as Paul.
His mission, no longer Christians to kill,
His only mission now Gentiles with Christ to fill.
He stayed true to his calling, right to the very end,
No ship wreck, no flogging, could make his mind bend.
Thus in vile Saul was born the great apostle Paul,
Amongst men of faith, even today he stands tall.
