Poem written about a painting drawn by an eight year old vietnamese child, about the hope for peace.

Peaceful wishes

All I have are peaceful wishes

Thrown up in the sky

-

Like fireworks around us

The fourth of July

-

A dove flies above

Begging for unity

-

See the flowers at our feet

Wishing for a treaty

-

I wish there was some peace

To fill our crooked scary streets

-

So I’ll throw my peaceful wishes

And hope they will decease
