New poem
Pearly Gate.
When death is looming
By your door
You’ll think of things
You should have done more.
All the good
And all the bad
The happy times
And when you felt sad.
All the things
You should have said
And ask the question
“Am I really dead?”
But when it’s your turn
To enter that pearly gate
Beyond the horizon
Is where I’ll lay in wait.
Coz both in life
And death all through
I’ll always long
To be with you.
Vicky.
