Poem about a woman in society and thoughts of her mind. Does she fit in? Has she been scorned? How does she deal with reality?

Penny Dropper
She’s dropping pennies off the Empire State building
Killing them with her sense.
10 minutes to five and She’s hit two or three.
A quarter after that She missed one, but hit four.
Clean through like a Pro-Hunter.
Discarding their presence from Corporate America,
Boardwalk dining’s and weekend getaways.
The passion of the Negro woman
Whose ancestors hopped on one foot.
She’s walked many dirt roads barefoot.
Now, high above the people’s court
5, 10, 15 copper knights silently charging
Just a shimmer in the eye.
