Inspired by hearing Sing-Out Kingsport, a branch group of Up With People, for the first time. The message that they brought out seemed to reflect so closely what I felt. I later became a member for two and a half years.
People looking
but never seeing.
People listening
but never hearing.
People talking
but saying nothing.
People everywhere
but not around.
People crying for help
but nobody’s there.
People living
but not alive.
People singing
but for what purpose?
People loving
but not returned.
