These are lyrics to a song I wrote called "Perfectly Flawed." The song was inspired but the life and works of the late great Kurt Cobain.

A martyr for this cause,

We’ll never forget how you lived,

learn from your words,

and try to grow from your strength.

Some may say weak,

or the cheap way out,

but instead a great who will live for all time.

They always want you to walk that line,

never wanting to be different.

Tell you to do as they wish,

and be just like them.

I’ll tell you this,

I’m not gonna jump,

won’t walk in the shoes,

I’d rather be perfectly flawed anyday.

The rise and the fall,

the beginning and end,

its always the same.

Throw a wrench in,

corrupt this system,

derail the tracks,

that keep you in check.

Don’t let them push you into it.

They always want you to walk that line,

never wanting to be different.

Tell you to do as they wish,

and be just like them.

I’ll tell you this,

I’m not gonna jump,

won’t walk in the shoes,

I’d rather be perfectly flawed anyday.

The tears will fall,

the blood will shed,

but not for nothing,

when you win in the end.

I’m not perfect,

and I’m thankful for this.

Cause if I was then,

I’d be just like them.

They always want you to walk that line,

never wanting to be different.

Tell you to do as they wish,

and be just like them.

I’ll tell you this,

I’m not gonna jump,

won’t walk in the shoes,

I’d rather be perfectly flawed anyday.

I’d rather be perfectly insane,

I’d rather be perfectly flawed……everyday.
