Another "idea poetry" submission.
Not sure what I was thinking when I wrote down the first few lines a few months ago, but I began writing the rest and this is the final product.
When we amplify our observations
And on the Petri dish of our imperfect thinking
Come to insane conclusions
It is all for the sake of argument; the same
Here we are as always never picking unfamiliar days
We choose again the mundane
Denying the journey’s importance
Seeking mystics to explain the uncanny portence
Or unfamiliar ways
When in the end it is all in vain
It is lost on the church of new thinkers
and those who make love to their own importance
and give full and carte blanche reign
To whatever tickles their ears
And even just for the moment allays their justified fears
