Love poem.

After spending a midsummer’s day in a graveyard, mourning the

Premature departure of my beloved,

I searched and saw nothing but the restless souls and spirits furiously roaming across the sky, into the west wind.

They flew away from our memories and anything known to be certain.

Separated from you, I’m eager to exact revenge but to whom?

I used to think that love to be genuine has to be extraordinary, how wrong was I?

What we need is to love and be loved equally, love without tiring, love without sacrificing our sanity, identity or beliefs, love without compromise.

The best love is one that’s based and founded on the simplest of principles.

Those principles closest to the heart, principles that not only define who we are, but that give us an identity.

My love for you is not like the air we breathe, I am well aware that men will and shall forever pollute that air. It is rather like the solar system, the ever present moon and the sun. Those are elements that men cannot tamper with, try as they might. My love for you resembles the butterfly and its picture esque beauty.

Your love is inspiring, like a solar eclipse, a rare experience but one the world shall never forget.

The love of my life gave me meaning,

Without that love I know I can be someone, but with that love, I can inspire others.

Unfortunately for me that love was over too quickly and now I am left to soul search.

Searching for that state of nirvana I grew accustomed to.

Happiness, to love and to be loved is the ultimate pursuit of life.

It’s not about being content, it’s about being happy, comfortable and surrounded by love.

These pursuits of life cannot be achieved in solitude.

That is a fact of life, a fact by design.

Life was not meant to be lived alone, affirming that there’s strength in numbers.
