Lyrics written for a musical piece in works.
The stars remind us,
How small we truly are.
Still I, I keep myself,
Up in the clouds.
I’ve been looking down,
Looking out, for what I have,
Yet to find.
Will I find?
Drift away star, crash into me,
Into my heart and solicit me, to feel.
Because you are real, more than any fantasy,
Like a sweet escape that keeps calling my name.
I’ve seen it a thousand times in my dreams,
But my dreams are fleeting and seem to escape me.
So here I am, holding onto hopes and what might,
Satiate these needs… and I don’t want to sleep.
Just let go of the dreams, put my mind at ease,
Discover life in this reality.
In the end it never mattered, the faces or names,
Because the feeling’s always real.
Drift away star, crash into me,
Into my heart and solicit me, to feel.
Because you are real, more than any fantasy,
Like a sweet escape that keeps calling my name.
Dream on believer; keep your head in the game,
High in the clouds you are still speaking to me.
Tempt me not to be deceived,
When I know that I’m falling… down.
It seems, so-,
Complication creating simplicity,
It seems, so-,
Natural this order,
Do I dare to bother?
Another moment to stutter,
To wish my life away
Drift away star, crash into me,
Into my heart and solicit me, to feel.
Because you are real, more than any fantasy,
Like a sweet escape that keeps calling my name.
Second chances aren’t what they always seem,
When we lead a life we lead a life with lonesome dreams,
Shine on me-,
I just want to feel this heat,
Diss-i-pate, my longing…
