can i walk to you slowly
and whisper to your ear
how much i love you dearly
how much i want you near

your name is etched in my heart
it says it is you the one i love
never would we be apart
that’s a promise from me to the Man above

we may have obstacles to do
our path may be dark and cloudy
but once we say to each other “i love you”
everything seems right and happy
