Plagiarism and Inspiration A debatable topic what is what…

Plagiarism and Inspiration

Some one confided in me

That he/she had been

Plagiarising my works.

I gave them the poetic justice

By saying

‘Perhaps they must have improved

Upon my version’’

As long as they know or realise

It’s wrong they should feel remorse and relieved

If they quote me as the original one…

Inspiration is different to plagiarism.

We all saw the Titanic and Avatar

We gave our views and that was

As a result of inspiration

Perhaps not plagiarism

I don’t know how a few cents

Will matter out of a whole

World wide population

Of 6.25 billions,

Only 20 to 60 read ones creation,

What do you say of making money?

If its plagiarism if it be

That particular copier

Should be relieved

Of that article,

And

The credit be given to the original

Creator

Well stealing someone’s work is awful, but if your work inspires one to be better in their approach then you the creator should be honored.

Touchy topic for me love. Burn plagiarist and reward the rightful owner of the piece.

Give credit where it’s due is an old saying–probably for a reason.

Though having someone steal your work could be considered a compliment, it is still wrong.

  • Jimmy Shilaho on Apr 5, 2010

There is a very thin line separating what is original from what isn’t.

Very touching straight to the heart.

Plagiarism is stealing. That’s what the word means. Inspiration is something totally different. In a funny way both are a compliment to the originator.
