Do you ever notice

Life and playing chess

both having the same theory

Applying the same philosophy

Success and failure,

bound to be occurring

Every step you move

You have to be careful

Watch every opportunity

Don’t let it slip by you

At times you find you lose everything

Thinking what’s in life worth living

You are a soldier of fortune

One fine day a soldier may be

A hero in history

It’s up to you to believe

So be vigilant to your every move

In order to have a life that is fruitful

a very imaginative and creative poem, wonderfully composed. i was thinking the same thought just the other day that what is the difference in chess and real life. this poem has answered my question. every move is very important and should be done thoughtfully. a lovely share and great fun to read.
