… of the Darkness On The Edge of Town is a Poem, meant as an answer to Update Two of the Chris Marlowe II Whodunnit, published by the Lost Dutchman on the HubPages.

You are talking to me? I mean,

are you on the Mean Streets

in the Darkness on the Edge of Town

talking to me? Are you?

Really?

Want to play with me?

Want to make a game of it and go

playing with me?

Now that that’s all right,

papa, I know

How To Play The Game

I Am

a Playwright, I am

The Dark Half

you see I am your

Misery.

But better don’t make fun of me, better

don’t set a Price on my Head,

some Beautiful Reward

consisting of a fake Lost

Flemish Primitive Panel.

And as a Convicted Con

I say to you:

“Don’t

forget Dié

is pronounced Dee

in Dutch & Axelrod

is Doctor

Lauren.”

Yours Truly,

the One & Only

Chris Marlowe II

PS, Quoting my play THE DUMB BLONDE DIALOGUES:

DUMB BLONDE: Doc, I need some contradiction!

DOCTOR D.: You’re ignorant!

DUMB BLONDE: Yep! Three months!

Your theme still mystifies me, but your Bruce Springsteen references are pretty cool. They are old tunes and maybe it was unconscious, but your gift is truly wonderous as I try an put these pieces together to a mysterious puzzle. Creatively dazzling.

There are no complications in this writing; the language is straightforward, and the message, though it could have told more, is clear.

By the way, check my stuff on the site; I`ll be more than glad if you do.

And is that an obsession for the dark force? Is your future envisionment for the world like star trek or star wars? Just thought I would ask.
