This is a heart tugging plea from one frightened puppy.
I was listening to a news bulletin on four five week old pups having been found in a box by a main road.
Thankfully they were alright and it must have been a miracle that they were found in time because the temperature’s are so cold at night at the moment.
At least they are in the warm now and cared for by caring people; thank goodness for these rescue centres.

Hence this little poem which I just had to compose and publish.

I am so very cold
I am so very forlorn.
It wasn’t that long ago
Since the day I was born.

What oh what
Have I done??
I am so very frightened
Where is the sun??

I was savagely plucked
And dumped in the wood.
They haven’t even left me
Just a tiny bit of food.

But now two gentle hands
Are picking me up.
“Please love me so
I am a very cute pup.”

Thank you lauralu it’s sad that these evil people get away with such cruelty.
I can’t even begin to comprehend what sort of mind can even think of carrying out such a deed.
Have a great day my friend.

Nice that you could give the puppy a voice. Animals are so innocent and vulnerable. I feel demolished when I hear of sad stories about animals. I want to save them all. Thank you for a nicely written poem.

Oh Eddy – you made me cry. I really sobbed too. Oh dear! I’m so glad these little pups survived – and that they’re being loved and cared for.
There are so many more animals treated in this way that don’t survive. Oh – I can’t bear it. Really can’t.
