Cancer should not be another word for fear, 

Yet, we tremble at that six letter word we hear, 

Its like being shot by a spear, 

The word rattles us into tears, 

But it should be made clear that when cancer appears, 

Its not the end it’s a chance to switch life into different gears, 

So we can be strong enough to face our fears, 

Once the fear of cancer is faced we can stand and cheer, 

And tell our peers cancer didn’t not win this year, 

And how happy and blessed you are to still be here.
