Was bored one day a long time ago and wrote this poem about the beverage I was partaking in.
It’s a Vault
Covered in numbers and a thin sheet of glossy paper
Its round black head with numbers and words on top
The strange green plastic body called a bottle
I look again and see camouflage and a star shaped bottom
Then I changed my gaze to the stuff inside
A green sweet and sour liquid that acts like lightning when consumed
Loaded with sugar, caffeine and carbonation
Careful! Too much of this and your teeth will die
But for one like I who slept too little
There is no lightning, just a small kick of energy to make it through the day
As I drink more and more, I feel alert but sad
For as the liquid disappears, I can’t help but miss it
Because I know that upon the next day I’ll need more
