At the time of writing this poem in August 2010, there are Floods in Pakistan that have affected about 14 Million people, there is a heat wave in Moscow with over 700 dying daily and there is also the Mud Slide in China with thousands not accounted for, not to talk of the incidents happening in various countries all over the world. It is alarming.

Mother Nature

Mother Nature, what is happening?

Natural Disasters everywhere.

All around, the world is breaking

Troubles people can hardly bear.

Floods in Pakistan, worse than Tsunami

Heat wave in Moscow, thousands dead.

Mud slide in China, many have lost family

Kids and babies still waiting to be fed.

Mother Nature, is our world ending?

Are we fastly approaching the last day?

Each day in the news – something depressing

Maybe its time we all knelt to pray.

*

The  world must unite in this plight

there’s too much hatred every where.

This isn’t the time for “the religious” to fight

God have mercy and our lives spare.
