A poem exposing hypo critic politicians.
With sugar-coated tongues,
With plummy and chubby cheeks,
With pot-bellied tummies,
With humble and penetrating but harmless looks,
They approach.
Appealing,
Begging,
Cajoling,
Declaiming,
Enticing.
We agree and to them we gave our mandate.
Now, their sugar-coated promises we see not,
Their cheeks plum-pier and chubbier;
Their tummie now bulging below the waist,
Their eyes so blind now that they see us not.
On account of our degraded and dilapidated lots,
With scrawny necks,
With sunken cheeks,
With deep eyes and scraggy legs,
We now approach.
Crawling,
Begging,
Appealing,
But lo, they push us away
The ladder they no longer have use for.
As another mandate giving approaches,
shall they no longer approach?
Certainly, their intoxicant will make them approach.
Then, shall we not disconnect them like a coach?
For to us and the society, they’re nothing but a reproach.
