Soar Above This Pain

Some days I feel lost and alone
Like a bird with a broken wing
Cannot soar so high beyond the pain
Of such unberable things

Think the pain is inside my mind
They try to play me out
Like a falsley accusing lie
All that’s left is doubt

Keep calm just lie here while the hours mend
Suffer no longer now just reach the day’s end
Close the heavy weighing eyes
Just to set free all the thoughts and broken memories
That have chosen to be your comforting grace

Never question the things that make you feel safe
And always pray before you get up and seek Jesus’ face
Long before we knew what pain and depression was
There was life that was given up for all of us

If we could only live to set this free
Break apart of the emptiness that resides inside of me
Cut the wires that depart broken pieces of my heart
And desires to be safe once more will be closer than I’ve dreamed
