A poem that lets all writers know that they are not alone.

Poem:   Writer’s Block

Sometimes I am blind to the things in front of me

I can not see what needs to be written

Wanting to say so much more

But finding it harder and harder to find the door

Could it be a single word?

As this to me would be absurd

Pictures of brick walls cloud my mind

If a dream would work it would be so kind

The nothingness is making me dreadfully mad

Having to watch my fans so sad

Waiting for a work of art

So many ideas I can’t depart

Is it now I lack the talent?

Or is that I am not smart

Maybe I will never know

I will always seek the answers so

Feeling that I have been bitten by a snake

Knowing there is no time for a second take

Growing cold I start to shake

Now I lay in a pile of chock

Dead in the water by writer’s block
