Poetry is my mistress
for she will never judge.
Nor take me for granted
or ever hold a grudge.

She is my savior
my captor, divine.
She makes me feel
that everything is fine.

She will comfort, amuse
and even seduce.
Never betray me
or tie me a noose.

She comes at all times
and never leaves my mind.
This poetry, she
is truly one of a kind.
