Poets going through rough times write the best poems.
Hi, I’m Kayla Zayyad, and I wrote this the other night, going through some depressing things. I just thought I’d share my poem:
All we can do is try. If things don’t work out you slowly try to heal the part of
you that is weak and wounded and move on. Life is a never ending experience of learning and changing. Life and change are like peanut butter and jelly. Change is just a part of life and you have to accept that. Your heart will be shattered into a million and three pieces. You have to learn how to tape it back together and continue to keep that smile on your face. You only live once and that means only one chance to smile, one chance to shine, and have a good time. Make the best of things. Have as many friends as you can and enjoy every part of your soul because no matter what anyone says; your beautiful. And when your hurt, laughter is the best medicine. Laugh until you cry, and cry until you can’t anymore. Live life the best you can, and if things don’t work out as planned; at least we can say we tried.
