Police training needs a little alteration.

When policemen do their training
And they’re in the policeman class
They teach them regulations
Then brainwash them en masse
The laws the law and that is that
There can be no exception
And everyone’s a criminal
Watch out for their deception
Well versed in condescension
They practice every day
To annoy and then belittle you
For what you do or say
They persecute the motorist
And the speed that he achieves
Because it’s so much safer
Than going after thieves
“Good morning sir, is this your car”
Then ask what speed you’ve done
You tell him it was thirty
He says “it’s thirty one”
Oh why do policemen have to be
The way that we all find
We should send them back to school
To help reclaim their mind

    Shazbat,
Very well written. My brother used to be a police officer before he became a minister. Unlike other policemen, he kept his mind. thats why he’s a very good minister. Love your poem. You gave me a chuckle with this.

Oh that was sweet and unfortunately so very very true. I know ex-police who would agree as well!
