All about segregation.

They took my friends away
to a place quite cold and grey,
and money’s nowhere found;
it was the other side of town.
Came the policemen clad in white,
and there wasn’t a fight
from either side of the wall… It was the whitest day of all
After the day, when
they took my friends,
they scurried underground;
they left there to play;
not a dark face around
on either side of town… It was the whitest land around

Thinking now, I don’t think I liked them at all…
Though, good times I still recall.

    I can see how it’s about segregation, and it’s very good!
