“Political actors look towards headlines of tomorrow and we look towards the history. We will stay alive in history and you will stay alive in history. This is the difference between you and us and this will remain for ever, president Zardari said this while addressing the inauguration ceremony of Benazir Apna Ghar Scheme for PIA employees here Saturday.

President Zardari underlined that no political actor could say that he would make prime minister. If some one comes from among the people and masses elect them then we will accept him and world will also accept him, he added.

“We are not political actors. We are makers of the country. Our forefathers made the country and saved it. We are also saving the country. Future will tell what we did in this era. We can not be deterred by threats. We will continue to serve people. We will continue to render sacrifices for the sake of Pakistan”, he observed.

Homes would be allotted to the employees of PIA and Civil Aviation all over the country, he announced. During my detention period when I used to travel through PIA flights, these employees had served me more than even ministers, he remarked.

Shaheed Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto and Benazir Bhutto are still alive in the hearts of people, he maintained.

“My teacher Shaheed Benazir Bhutto taught me this vision, knowledge and worldly politics. In the old times when people used to go to any teacher to learn knowledge they used to trace the name of teacher of their teacher. The teacher of my teacher was Shaheed Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto”, he noted.

“It is in my knowledge that there is inflation and unemployment. I also know it that I have to fight for the sake of coming generations. But war has just started against the murderers of Benazir Bhutto, thousands of soldiers and sepoys and we have put first foot in it. Such time has come in the history of nations. Sri Lanka has fought war for 40 years. We will fight if we have to do so. But we will strengthen our economy too. We will give their due rights to the poor and Haris”, he underlined.

He went on to say that no one could snatch our country from us in the name of Islam or at gun point. We will not allow any one to do so. If I have to wear beard my Islam permits me to wear beard or not”, he added.

These all are tactics. There are some internal and some external enemies. They know only how to encroach upon the rights of poor people. They want to take the state enterprises into their ownership. When they do so then meet me and say they have to convert one into two. But I say I have not to convert one into two but I have to give all this to the poor persons”, he said.

“Quaid-e-Azam said work, work and work. Therefore, we have to work hard for the future generations so that the youths of coming age could not point any fingers at us that we did not eliminate poverty and terrorism for them. we did not give their rights to the poor segments of society. We will endure all difficulties but we will make Pakistan a better Pakistan”, he remarked.

President imposed ban chanting of slogan of “Aik Zardari, sub per bhari by PPP workers.

Slapping ban on this slogan in a ceremony here he said this party is party of Shaheed Bhutto. Where there is politics of Shaheed Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto and Shaheed Benazir Bhutto, only the slogan of Jeeya Bhutto will be raised there, he announced.
