Does popularity really do anything for you? The answer is no.

Popularity,

does not bring prosperity.

Makes you a spoiled brat,

you ain’t cool,

you aint phat.

You get out of high school,

being cool in high school

is not going to be a life tool.

You can not always rely on your looks,

the kids that are gonna be rich,

are the kids in the books.

I wish in high school I would

of followed these out looks,

instead,

I am ashamed of the road I took.

I should of known from my dad,

got kids at seventeen,

forced into marriage,

so sad.

He chose to be a junkie,

do a girl just because

her but was chunky.

Then he lived on the street,

when he got money he spent

it on drugs not to eat.

Then I followed his beat.

After that I could barely stand

on my two feet.

He got his kids taken away,

his damn wife did

not even stay.

From the right path to not sway,

in the end only you will pay.

Being the cool dude,

having the tough attitude,

will later make you destitute,

I hope in life you take the right
route.

Rightly said. For personal life you may be ok.But in politics, your popularity counts.Again once you gets power, it is the popular sovereignty that actually rules and have a control over people as well as politics. It is needless to say that by being popular in politics, your personal life also is affected.Marriage alliances are forged with an eye over politics and it does many things.Thanks.

I had enough trouble keeping grades up to worry about being popular.but yes,,I saw alot of this and years later,,,,it doesn’t amount to nothing. A interesting piece to read.

This is good advice, written in a style that young people can understand. A lot of young people think it’s more important to be popular and hang with the cool kids than anything else. It’s a mistake. You have to find your self-worth from inside, not from what other people think of you. Good message!
