A deep poem on relationships – how they come and go, and when one is over there is always a next.

Porch of Despair

Remember that cold, gloomy day she stepped outside your door

Recall the feeling you had when that love was no longer yours

Through the ups and downs, the good and bad, the joy and sad, loved ones come and go

Each one of those tender hearts you had once touched suddenly walked out down your patio

You see her slowly walking down those old, rugged stairs

Thoughts racing through your head, as you become lost in a gloomy stare

One last wave and a final good bye

This is the last you see, as you let out a sigh

You wait a moment, watching as she disappears

This one might be gone, but the next love is always near
