This is a short, lighthearted rhyme about the agonies of potty training a toddler.

Potty training a child is tough

Cleaning up all the messes is rough

When the kid doesn’t care

And her bottom is bare

All you want to do is say enough.

Poop and pee can go just everywhere

Pants - each day you go through many pair

Puddles on the floor

Can you say “no more?”

Your sink soaks much dirty underwear.

Do you know where the toddler is now?

You’d better find out real soon, and how!

She sits on the chair

And the couch if you dare

The furniture gets covered you vow.

Ah, the kid you have finally found

You just had to follow the sound

Again there’s a mess

All over her dress

Scrubbing, soaking, and washing you’re bound.

Your sanity is now on the mend

There is no help for which you can send

The work’s never done

Your time you have none

Month after month, and you see no end!

I think the limerick is really good. Cheer up, things are bound to take a turn for the better.

    Oh, the bare-bottomed lessons I’ve learned…
