Today war ravages across most of the world from one country to another, but did anyone ever stop to think about the children?

When is it enough?

Children with lost innocence

fight war on every hand

leaving all their hopes and dreams

scattered in the dessert sand

as their blood is shed

across the land.

When is it enough?

Bombs ring out from night to day

a serenade to the children

as they sleep and play.

With fear their comfort I hear them say,

“There is no peace in our world today.”

Tell me, when is it enough?

What will it take for us to hear the children’s cries

how many of them must lose their lives

before we open up our eyes and realize …

It has been too many already.

Yes, the children are ones who suffer and this is a horrible environment for them to grow up in and know as “normal”…
