Prayer is an indispensable line of communication that is open and accessible to human beings. It is the only medium that has survived man’s questionable departure from the truth that materialism by itself stands on shaky ground and neither the advocacy of atheism and agnosticism has succeeded in excluding humanity from its one and only source.
The propulsion of prayer directs it to where
it touches the spirit
Of a Power that knows that we must repose
our gratitude in it.
We feel as we think, there’s a positive link
between God and us
And when we relate, we calculate
a definite plus.
When life must depend on feelings that blend
with Love and Compassion,
We stand but firm throughout the term
of our prayerful passion
When we feel depressed and woefully pressed
by grievance and pain,
Prayers help clear the perilous fear
that may drive us insane.
