This poem is the continuing problem of hate that is happening, not only in this
country, throughout the entire world.

Like an odorless vibe,

it has swept through this world,

trickling into the minds

of every man, woman, boy and girl.

It has reared its ugly head within us,

turning its victims from lambs into serpents.

It’s never far from earshot or our indelible sight,

and ever resurgent in its presence.

Yet the willpower of mankind has again begun

to stifle its infectious actions and words,

and has sent this disease running scared,

with the speed of thunderous herds.

But with its development no longer out in the open,

this thing is even more vicious than before.

It’s hard enough dealing with something you can see,

but even harder when it comes from an unopened door.

And just as we evolved, it’s also evolved

with the usage of electronics instead leaflets and books.

Radio, television, websites, emails and instant messaging

has now become its new recruiting hooks.

The application of modern day communication

has made it more difficult to find its hiding place.

For by the time we actually see it,

we’re standing with it face to face.

But just like in the past, sooner or later,

we’ll bring it out for all to see.

Hopefully it won’t lead to another Holocaust

or a possible confrontation called World War III.

Nevertheless, we really need to find an arresting solution

to what has sent many to jail or the gallows.

This, hopefully, we bring the true color of the world into the light,

allowing it to be seen openly, instead of through shifting shadows.
