Excitement expressed on a starting relationship.

I.

Are those the lips

I’ll be kissing soon

Among the starry drips

under the silver moon?

II.

Are those the eyes

That will light up quick

When I whisper a sigh

to your redenning cheek?

III.

Are those the hairs

I’ll be smoothing away

to uncover your face

on a windy day?

IV.

Are those the hands

that’ll be holding mine

among our friends

and when feeling fine?

V.

Are those the ears

I’ll be nibbling on too

when there are fears

and you’re feeling blue?

VI.

Are those physical parts

the embodiment of you?

but something in my heart

Says inside you are beautiful too..

    I knew
    You were somewhere out there,
    Running far away from me,
Someone else’s hands you hold now,
    That’s not like me.
I know you were always there for me,
But now I know you are not going to,
    Any longer hold me.

Your poems give me the lust,
The pleasure to pen my words,
    Unheard and never mind,
    If you hold another,
But my voice will always be heard,
    As you whisper,
    In those new ears,
    You will hear a reply,
No not from her, my dear, but from me ere I die.

    I love your style,
    I always did you,
Are the best poet, I admired,
It sad how you have me,
For another one upon new shoulder fired.
I forgive you for you are young,
    I am 19 of mind,
    And ninety of age,
    So your decision,
    Cannot be undone,
    You had won,
    My heart of your own,
    And called me cute.
    I can only praise you,
For that for me another salvo do shoot.

But all I request of you is stay,
    With whomsoever you want to,
But my friendly, love, never ever flaunt.
    I ‘all miss your shoulders’
    That I know,
    But your love for me,
    Is eternal, friend,
    As I from this world,
    One day shall go.

    There somewhere,
    You exist still,
    I now know.

  • ice xxenon on Apr 20, 2009

    wow romantic.

  • Bullwinkle Muse on Apr 20, 2009

Are those the words of a great love poet? 8^D
    (what’s “redenning?”)

  • Miss Heda on Apr 20, 2009

    i love new love

  • Majic on Apr 21, 2009

    Bravo!
As for bullwinkle muse- RF never claimed to be a great love poet. If “redenning” isn’t on the dictionary, it’s meaning is not lost to the reader and RF played on his creative license very well!

  • nutuba on Apr 21, 2009

This is wonderful and giddy stuff! “Was this the face that launched a thousand ships and burnt the topless towers of Ilium?” You’ve done it again, R, another work of brilliance. Nicely done!
