This is a poem to a little girl who has been like my own precious daughter for three years. She was hit by a truck on January 24, 2010 and is still in very critical condition and not yet awake. I love her to no end and she felt the same about me. We all are praying hard for God to send her back to us.

Wake up; we have a bike ride to take

For there are so many more memories to make

I am waiting on you my sweet baby girl

I can’t wait to once again see you sing and whirl

I can’t wait to see your smile

And hold onto you for a long while

I will welcome your hugs and cheek kisses

And everything else that everyone misses

We are not ready to give you up or send you home

You must come back and not leave us alone

Your sister cries

While your daddy inside, almost dies

Your brother does not understand

And all I can do is cry and hold your hand

If Jesus takes you

We will not know what to do

So fight your way back

And our love, you will never lack

Amy is now awaking to some extent. We are not sure how she will be yet. Her brain injuries have caused some major issues. She also has a spinal cord infection and running fevers from that. We are not even sure how much she recognizes anyone or how much she knows. It is a day at a time process. All of us have been suffering with this whole ordeal emotionally, mentally, and financially. We all need to ask everyone to pray for our little girl.

    Charles,

You are a real jerk. The parents have absolutely nothing to do with this site or this poem. It is meant for Amy. I am gathering comments for Amy only to place in a scrap book. Please do not post derogratory comments again. Thank you.
