Inside this poem.

Prison Break

I sit in silence and watch as

the guards march past.

with nothing

but the sounds of metal clanging back

I wish and pray to the gods and lord

For my hopes and dreams, they’ve become one torn cord.

Staring out to the tiny peck of sky

thoughts flourish back with my fist held tight.

my life’s a mess

with no palce to call home

my friends and family, left without a word.

I am not perfect.

For, I do desire a second chance

To re ad-justify my mistakes

If i could leap back in time,

Please believe me I would.
