A longing composition for a hoped prodigal bestfriend.

We used to be closest cousins
More than a friend; care of beans
I used to be a protector
Of you as my endeavour
Offered my home, welcome you as an own
Visited so public, so natural, so you
Enjoyed each blessing, each opportunity, each happening
Played naïve to plain;
Now just a sweet bell ring
Helped you out with your thesis
Feasibility study though I’m an Engineer
Without knowing this is not for you
But, for the one you dear and hopes to come true
Able to understand the situation that you mature,
To love is just a part of human nature
You and I graduated of diverse course and destination
Still, we communicate and share each other’s manifestation
Exchanging gifts during advent season
Birthday celebration is a tick of horizon
This solace of a bestfriend extends to a sibling
To an institution of ever popular “bling-bling”
But, for just blink of an eye
Everything has changed
Stolen my father’s ring,
My mother’s perfume,
And my sister’s underwear
I never judged; I never asked
I just wait for an apologize
And then I received a text message,
I was glad, but it was hate used by mess sage
It was March 19, 2006, feast of St. Joseph.
Hoping the saint of journey will lead way home
For I treasure this creation and waits for a return
Coz I will forever long for another round of turn.
