All the years many pollutants have been affecting our breathing air, is it too late to save the planet?

I’d like to say

I came out unscathed

But I am effected

From all the things,

that have been ejected.

in the environment,

and has appeared ,

with invisible gases

 in our breathing air.

I don’t think that this,

can be concealed.

By a change in habits,

and the damages

in the ozone-layer

                                                                 will just simply heal.

I can say I realize.

I am not suprised.

That the acid rain,

in years to come.

Will damage our eyes.

I can say, I want to change.

What little remains.

On this planet that we live.

So my full cooperation I will give.

What are you prepared to do?

A timely poem… I think the onus should be on businesses more than anything however. I’m conscious of keeping lights off in rooms not being used etc. But then I look out of my window on London and all I can see is a city of lights… and that’s just the tip of the slowly deteriorating iceberg.

Truly compelling and insightful. Perhaps we’re just breathing the last years of breathable air in the atmosphere.

  • diamondpoet on Nov 20, 2009

my favorite response to the environmental concern was when the senator said, \”How much clean air do we actually need?\” Makes you think about what is the highest priority.
