When true love doesn’t return its affection.

I love my strong woman but she doesn’t remember her strong man, to forget that I am important is to forget our plan.

I will not die silently in this dark, for every spark and slight ignite I will try with every breath to make things right.

I love you my dear the rest is up to you, proof of your love is all I ask and I’m hoping one day it will prove our love’s true.

How sad and futile. …”to forget that I am important…” is a terrible thing for that “strong woman” to do to you!
Love is a two-way street…either you are important to her or you’re not!
True love doesn’t need time to prove itself because it exists quite naturally in the life that you lead when you’re with the right person. When you’re not with the right person, things just don’t mesh together, and you frequently find yourself feeling insecure and miserable.
Remember…as long as you choose to remain with the wrong person, the right person cannot enter your life!

Beautiful piece, Jasin. It’s a great reminder to me that I need to keep showing my wife how I love her. Love isn’t a static thing — it can’t sit on a shelf — but needs to be fed daily. Nicely done.

Sometimes we all get caught up in our lives, striving for things that aren’t really even that important and (especially if there are kids or other family members) taking care of other people. It’s not a good excuse, but it happens.

Part of the promise of commitment is communicating when things are slipping before they get too far out of hand that the other person is so detached that they aren’t concerned with doing the things they used to do. If after you let her know what you’d like from her, and she still doesn’t show respect for you and your relationship, then decisions have to be made. But it’s not safe to assume that anyone knows your frame of mind, or what you want them to do differently.
