This is a love poem that I wrote in high school.
The feeling that I get when I’m with you is the most intense feeling I have ever known
My head swims and my heart shudders every time I hear your voice
When you tell me the sweet and romantic things that you do, I tremble with a pure joy
A wondrous bliss that I have never known before.
Oh, a murky and cold heart is a lonely one
But when you are so lonely that you don’t care anymore it’s like having a pit of quicksand in your heart.
The more emotions that got pumped in, the more they were sucked into the bottomless pit
Never to be seen again, until now
Suddenly, your love has dried up that pit and allowed those emotions to take root and bloom
Oh, how beautiful are the flowers of the heart
Oh, how gorgeous is the forest that your love has made for me
Don’t lose me in the undergrowth, though
I’m afraid that this forest may still be quite haunted
The ghosts of the people who’s blood I have on my hands still roam zombie like throughout the peaceful green foliage
Are they looking for me?
Do they want revenge?
I don’t want you journeying down those dark paths quite yet
But, for now, explore every sun warmed path that you find
Allow yourself to enjoy every bit of peacefulness that you find there
Know that no harm could ever come to you
And if you sense icy blue eyes following your every step
And if you hear the soft padding of massive paws on the forest floor
Know only that we are watching
Out of the purest of love we can express.
