Wasting away, we are all the same.

Purposeful Ignorance

Bloodless leaves lie colorless like cracked lips
There, renting the infinite floor of Earth
Paying for their superfluous lives.
We are all here for the same reason,
So I was told.
Felines toy with the creations of man
That hold no depth to reality,
No blood, no beat, no actual presence
Tasting the rodent that does not eat,
Never knowing what it’s really like to taste blood.
Naive. Ignorant. Oblivious.

Stupidity breeds itself in the weak,
Leaked from loose mouths,
Torn into the mind of anyone susceptible,
They all walk like zombies with their eyes closed
And hold the hands from the Hell that was bred before them.
His heart is hostage in a mind without a pistol,
His perception spoiled by pessimistic thoughts,
Controlled by a dark room that walks outside.
He sucked the life from a dead flower,
And wondered why he couldn’t grow.
We are all here for the same reason,
So I was told.

    Darkly descriptive… and well written.

You have a very edgy style. Great depth of vision here. I seek “the reason” too.
