You know what I mean
What does “Quack” mean? Well, the first definition is probably most familiar to you: The characteristic harsh sound made by a duck.
Yup. But what is the second meaning of “Quack”?: A person who dishonestly claims to have special knowledge and skill in some field, typically in medicine : [as adj. ] quack cures.
Umm ok, that is not relevant at all, so forget it please.
Now, what is the third meaning of “Quack”?: Trickster, fraud, fraudster, impostor, hoaxer; informal con man, snake oil salesman, shark, grifter.
Ooh, that’s harsh, isn’t it? So, instead of saying “He’s an impostor” you could say “He’s a quack”. Instead of saying “Wow look at that shark!” you could say “Wow look at that quack!”. Very stupid indeed.
The word “Quack” was born in the 17th century by Marmaduke Duck.
Marmaduke Duck is Dutch.
QUACK.
